Throttle Controller, lower adaptation
According to the PEAKE code reader, I got a 0F-86 error, which says "Drive-by-Wire Throttle Controller, lower adaptation". I've tried the Throttle Adaptation reset (key position 2 for 10", Key position 0 for 10"), but the error is still there. What could be causing this error? Thanks, Simon

The question is whether the fault is for the pedal or the throttle body itself... both of them hold 2 travel sensors that read opposite of eachother for signal comparison and plausibility. It would really help to get the faults read by a GT1 and run through it's guided test plans for the faults. When it comes to diagnosis, it helps to be able to get as much information and as accurate of information as possible.

Thanks for the advice Weasels.
Is this (or would this lead to) a serious problem? Or is this something I can wait until the next service?

Depends... it could act right and never give a problem, but if the system defaults it could throw you into failsafe and stop the throttle from opening. No way to tell beforehand unfortunately.

Got it. FYI, I've reset the code yesterday, so far it has not come back yet and I will keep checking very closely.
The 10" reset did help, the car is must more responsive. Hopefully this fixes the problem I've been having (problem no.1 from this link) Thanks.
