Though I would also recommend them, they are now owned by Herb Chambers. After my experience with HC BMW of Boston, I will never give any of their dealers in their network a dime of my money nor will I let them work on my Bimmers.

If you're going to a dealer, I'd recommend BMW Gallery of Norwood which recently earned a spot on BMW's top dealerships.
BMWNA announces best BMW dealerships in the U.S.

If you need an indy garage, try AutoEngineering in Lexington, MA. They seem to do great work.

Thanks for the suggestions. I would prefer it be as close as possible to Boston, but I may try your suggestions. Anyone have any experience with German Performance Service in Cambridge, MA?

On that note of Herb Chambers they quoted me 220 for a key while BMW Norwood quoted me 175 for a new key. Go figure

BMW of Peabody was excellent to us with the X, although it was 14 days after we bought the car there... IRA in Stratham sucks. HC sucks. +1 on Gallery or Wagner for being decent. New England BMW dealers suck.

Bavarian Performance Group (www.bavarianperformancegroup.com) in Winchester. I wouldn't dream of taking my BMW anywhere else. They have a BMW master tech on site and have the BMW computer system setup. Brand new building, can do everything from alignments, to coding etc.

I second BPG and know the owners very well. Great ,stand up guys. I do get my warranty work done at IRA in Stratham though and have had very good luck with them. In fact, they drive the hour plus down to Newton, drop off a new BMW loaner and bring my X5 back anytime i need.
