2004 X5 4.4i Recently I have lost all my cabin lights, glovebox light, windshield washer pump....noticed that fuse 27 in glovebox is burned...replaced it...it burned again...did some test shorthed 10 or so 20 AMP fuses and noticed the following
If I get in the car and change the fuse and start the car, everything works...lights, washer...the current is betwee 0.75A to 3A depending what is turned on...
The moment I turn ignition off and take the key out...this is the moment the car tries to turn on pathway lights and middle cabin light there is a surge in current above 20AMP which burns the fuse
Any ideas?
