Well, I settled on my initial choice and purchased a replica set of style 168 rims.

I got an amazing deal.

$615 for a set of 22 inch staggered 168's, shipping included in that price.

How could I pass that up?

I got them on ebay from the lakeshore wheel guys,

22x9.5" 22x11" Wheels Fit BMW X5,E53,E70,#168:eBay Motors (item 390060179075 end time Jul-18-09 13:22:05 PDT)

SALE ENDS IN 2HRS!

Now I need some tires.

285/35/22 and 315/30/22 is what I found form searching, however this size limits me to only Toyo Proxys it seems.
I am not really sure how tire sizes work and what sizes I am limited to.

Amazing deal indeed but that tire set up is not recommended, there is a 10 rev/mi difference and could harm your AWD's drivetrain. I would recommend 275/40F and 315/35

thanks for the suggestion,

those tire sizes seem to be hella hard to find though,

I think those would be a fit for 20 inch rims.

True...that is the drawback on the staggered set up on 22's. Remember the X is an AWD. 22's are more suited for same tires on all corners. You have to be on the same rolling diameter front and rear if you dont want to mess up your drivetrain.

(1) 265/35/22 and 295/30/22
(2) 265/35/22 and 315/30/22
(3) 285/35/22 and 315/30/22
(4) 285/30/22 and 335/25/22

These are the tire sizes I found from this thread.

Are spacers nessesary with any of these setups?
