Thanks m5james,

I wonder what is your time in your local area because you instantly answered my reply. Our local time in the Philippines is 8:58 AM June 17. Oh, I haven't read it yet, what is the title of that particular topic?

Regards,

Felix

Hello! I just got back my instrument cluster that was repaired by Andrei Raspoutine of Speedofix. My cluster's problems, only the temp gauge is 100% readable in my MID, my SID is totally not visible, my fuel gauge is not resting on zero and when it's full tank it only reads 60% full, my coolant temp. pointer is way below zero when the engine is off.
I paid US$ 200 plus shipping and the result was very good. My cluster is back to 100%, i can now read clearly all the information including the SID, my fuel gauge and coolant gauge are now restored to original settings. Being far away from America, this is the best option although quite expensive but it's worth it for my 2000 x5 4.4i. I feel I'm driving a new car again. Thanks xoutpost for all the information without this site maybe I am going to live with the dead pixels and inaccurate gauges.

Congrats on the repair. Do you have a website link and what kind of warranty do they have for the length of the pixels remaining intact? I screwed up my speedometer guage when doing cluster rings and exposed the spring mechanism, so I would love it if they could fix it.

Hi M5james, I think he can do it. Here is the website;SPEEDOFIX.com - Digital Odometer Mileage Correction Service, Conversion from Miles to Kilometers. Mine was fixed on the day when the cluster was received, it's a quick and reliable service. Mine has a one year warranty but assured me that it will last for more than five years. Only the ribbon cable was replaced while all the others were repaired and cleaned.

Regards,

Felix
