Cons1 and 2 MPG

So just replaced the alternator on the '02 3.0 and all went well...seems a little rough at idle, maybe i am imagining things...one thing though, the cons1 and 2 gas mileage indication in the display started out at like 9.5 climbed to as much as 12 and then dropped down to 10 or so in a trip that lasted maybe 7 miles in a span of 20 minutes or so...I have never seen the mpg go up and down while I was watching it...related to alternator change or some kind of adaptive value, don't know how it computes mpg to begin withalso, typically it always reads between 15.5 an 16.x
thanks

if you just reset the cons1 and cons2, give it about 500 miles of your everyday driving. then it will show the real mpg of your x. the mpg in the first few miles is NOT correct.
