help just changed my expansion tank

I changed it out got all the hose and clips accept 1 but i can't get the metal clip for small hose at the top of the expansion tank to align properly so the clip will snap into place. any tips? sooner the better b/c i don't want to fill it up and have it leak all over.thanks

You have NO information about your car. You realize we have 4 motors to choose from here? Posting pics to help w/ your poor description along w/ using Xoutpost.com - Search Forums - is your friend, and it will get you 10x faster answers. Most of the time, people won't answer questions that have already been beaten to death.

I'm guessing by hose description that you have any of the V8s, and if the hose doesn't want to clip on too easily carefully pull it back loose (because the plastic part of that hose can break easily) and rub a thin smear of vaseline on the o-ring in the end and maybe on the plastic nipple. That should make it easier to push on to the point you hear that satisfying clip.
