resetting brake lights after DIY brake job??
Anyhow, the brake light and check brake lining indicators lights were both on. they automatically disappeared 30 mins after completing my brake job. Do i need to properly reset those lights with a computer or do i not need to worry about it since the lights aren't warning me? Also, I bled the brake fluid, however my brakes feel a tad mushy and not as firm as before. how do i fix that? thanks |

You already reset those lights properly by turned the key on and off

The light was reset by the method of key on engine off for a minute, and the pedal feel will return to normal once the pads set in... they always feel a bit mushy after a change, especially of all 4 at once. Just a series of long slow stops should do the trick and they will feel back to normal soon.
