Replica wheels weight vs OEM
I am looking into 20" AFS wheels, I wanted to compare weights with OEM for the same size.
AFS Wheels on eBay So here is what the math says: AFS states their 20" x 9.5 + Toyos 295-40-20 : 85lb ea. Average 20" tire weigth: 37lb ea. That would make the wheel: 47lb Here is my delimna: I looked at the Buyers Guide for Replica BMW Wheels (on this site) and it shows: Front Replica (i can assume that its a 9.5 if rear is heavier therefore wider) : 15 kg= 33lb That makes a weight difference of 14lb between AFS replicas & X5 world replicas used for buyers guide. Questions: is an 20" OEM really 12.5 kg = 27.5lb? that would make the replica wheel almost twice the weight Where am I off? |
