Trunk Lid problems - '01 X5

I inadvertantly left my lid closed, but unlatched. Then drove over a speed bump in the parking lot at low speed, then my trunk lid went up a coupel inches, then slammed shut. Then I got home...I could open my lid a couple time to get stuff out. The following morning it stopped working. I could not open the lid with the keyless rmore nor the button on the dashboard. The button on the lid doesn't work as well.

I thought that the latch itself is broken, so I got another one from the dealer. Replaced it and it still doesn't work. I said Hmmmm... I inspected around and noticed that nothing on the lid is working. The rear wipers, the two lights on the lid, etc does not work. So I'm leading to beleive that the wiring to the lid somehow is affected.

Question is how can I fix that problem? I figured that a body shop would need to remove the lid for some work, so the bulk wireing must have some kind of connector to it...and thinking it somehow got disconnected or lossened. I can't seem to locate this connector if one exists.
