After 8.5 years I got my first bulb out (license plate)

But it's not showing on the dash that it needs to be replaced--interesting.

that is normal if ur x5 came with base/low cluster

so does that mean is has an early 2001 x5 3.0? cuz in 2000 x5's only came in one flavor 4.4, and all v8's come with high clusters. if the grip strip is original, remove it, and check for water ingress. ingress causes high resistance in the circuit, the bulb could be out, but the high resistance could be compensating for the bulb out warning.

Yeah I bought it 2/01 and the build date shows 12/31/00.
