mrbmwx5, how difficult or easy for the whole process of installing your angel eyes? Thanks.

not difficult at all took me 1hour including open up the headlights and running all the wires.
I see you have an 03 X5 you not able to do this mod/ nor open up the headlights like mine due to the different glue that BMW used

opening headlights

Hi mrbmwx5!

I already have my ccfl angel eyes for my 2001 projector headlights but i cannot open it since the glue cannot be melted through heat gun or i think oven, although we haven't tried it yet. I browsed your thread and you did not melt your glue but instead used a screw driver and x-acto knife. How easy to do it especially on the curves? The first time that we intended to open the headlight through the help of an AE installer, the glue is like a foam because the installer get a small piece from the gasket, it is soft and can be done through knife cutting. Thanks in advance for you inputs.

I removed the wafers on my 7, it makes a night and day difference on how updated the front end looks. Those lenses date the headlights compared to newer cars where they're crystal clear and you can see all the chrome.
