My X5 fixed itself

well for the past few months the lock has not been working, only the driver side and the rear doors worked, after refusing to pay the 1000$+ the dealership quoted me for such a small thing , the locks just started working again. Just like the Self level suspension after paying 1400$ to get it repaired last year the light came on, and the dealer refused to replace it as i service my own car. but when I jacked up the X5 and did the oil change now the self level suspension is back and working :P

I think it got worried as i was just about to sell it but now ill keep it till next year

and Btw the car is a 2003 4.4i with 301,000 miles

wow... that must be the highest mileage X in teh world.. lol..

Also - are you sure it's 301k miles or KM? You're in toronto... maybe you meant KM - thats a big difference..

We should start a new thread.. top 10 highest miles..

ive had no issues with the car at all since i have bought it the only thing i do replace is the tires once a year, and i do 4-6k miles a month

and it is 301,000 miles not km i already did the conversion as i see most ppl here go by miles.

the one problem that i think is coming soon is that it gives a bit of a jerk when accelerating fast from a standstill something it did not do serveral months ago. Otherwise its been a great car. But it might go next year for the new X

sounds like the door lock actuator is going.. it will work sporadically but eventually need replacement. unless it really did magically fix itself in which case you should probably keep that car..
