Do you agree this is a good deal?
Many of you have helped me with advice in our search for an X5 (thank you!). While I've been talking to dealers as far as 500+ miles away, I've just received the following "bottom line" offer from a local dealer:
2005 X5 4.4 Remainder of CPO and Extended Maintenance (both expire 3/31/11) 56,000 miles Highland Green/Truffle Brown Premium Sport Cold Weather Heated Steering Wheel Rear Climate Hitch Tinted Front Windows "Extra" set of winter wheels/tires All-weather cargo mat $21,937 Condition-wise, I'd give the exterior and interior 9/10. There have been two previous owners: 1st on a lease and the 2nd only owned for approx. 16 months. I have talked to both of the previous owners, and they each said they had no problems and loved the vehicle. BTW, according to the second owner, this dealer gave him $21,000 for the X5 in trade. This seems like a good deal to me, and I'll most likely take it. However, I'm wondering if any of you have any thoughts/comments based on your recent buying experiences. I've read a lot of threads about people getting better deals, but those seem to deal with purchases made earlier this year when I think the used car market was hurting more than it is right now. Thanks! PK
