Ok I think the general consensus here (and my wife!) is to KEEP IT! So that's what we'll do. So can anyone suggest a good replacement NAV and audio system?

I would consider a solution for music that had some kind of MP3 player storage system - I had a Phat Box in my old VW Jetta that was awesome. Or a system that has an aux input.

Thanks

Rich

As navigation is concerned I purchased myself a Magellan Maestro 4370. Look it up online and your going to see mixed reviews but from my personal thoughts, I am a fellow X5 owner and believe me when i tell you, this navy is amazing. It has all the works, bluetooth, mp3 module, FM Transmitter, SD Card, heck you can even watch avi files on the thing and use it as a DVD player

Believe me its an amazing GPS system for the X5 and ive been using it for around 3 months now. Its even really nice on the eyes and i love the entire scene that's shown once i hit the city here in new york you start to see BUILDINGS! on the system, looks as if your watching google earth.... really decent system if you ask me. The only cons are yea its a bit laggy when your navigating thru the menus but ehh it honestly doesnt bother me at all....

Thanks for the tip on the Maestro - how does the MP3 module work? Is the FM transmitter how it plays through the stereo system?
