DTRL QUESTION....
I have a 2005 X5 4.4i w/ DTRL's on. I want to take it off so that I can have my full angel eyes on display. Called my local BMW dealer, they are charging me $170.00 U.S. Can I bring my X5 to a customized shop or whoever knows how? Dealer told me they have to use a computer. Will my warranty be affected if someone from the outside tampers with the system? Thanks guys!

Yes a computer is required.

tell them if they want your business, the should charge 1/2 hour to perform the car key memory settings. should be $75 or less. find an independent bmw shop to do it, they should have the Equipment.
