Definitely some inspirational X's on this board...Member JMH's tastefully modded 4.6iS is one to be seen in person.

Here's mine, most recent mods were G2 caliper paint - Black, and wrapped turn signal corners with titanium vinyl:

Very nice Chilliwilli How much did you paid for your under carriage, if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks
Peter

Merci Peter...i can't recall the exact price but i believe it was around $1.5K USD. It adds a nice touch to the aggressive look and is also functional as well, in protecting the front under-carriage area and the front skirt.

Love the titanium vinyl on the corners...Very creative. Where did you get it? and how did you apply it? Undercarriage bar is sick too..

Thanks...It was inspired by member Sudesh: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...light-mod.html

I decided to pass on the AE's...i'm fine with the lights as-is, just didn't like the ambers. Mrbmwx5 has a method to remove the seal in 2003+ X5's but i tested out the vinyl sticker method and was quite impressed with how clean it turned out. It works well with the clear turn signal bulbs by Sylvania.

Picked up the vinyl from a decal shop that does print work for me and my snowboarding buddies...picked up some materials from Michaels Arts & Crafts store then basically traced out the ambers and wrapped it. If you're interested in doing the same, i took a few pics of the process.
