Thanks - yes, it was a serious blast. I was going to do the whole thing from IN, but ran out of time and my buddy was quick to volunteer to go fetch the car for me, so it all worked out great. All told the car traveled close to 2500 miles across the whole country to make it into my driveway in CA. Better than letting it ride on a flatbed I think!!

sometimes you just get lucky. It had been raining, and I saw the sun was about to go below a cloud bank and that I would have about 15-20min of perfect sunset lighting. So I started looking around for a dirt road and sure enough - there was one right there. This was about 30 miles East of Fallon, so basically in the middle of nowhere in NV. I waited for the sun to get out of the clouds and then when I lined up the car with the hills in the background I saw this huge rainbow. I could never have planned anything like that. So I ripped off about 30 pics over the next 10 mins. The car was dirty at that point from driving on dirt roads and through massive rain storms, but it didn't matter with the perfect lighting and backgrounds because you just couldn't even tell.
