Parting out & Parting ways

So after 3.5 years of a love/hate relationship with my X5 - 2 window regulators, Cv Boot, Brakes, Oil separator, too many mods, and now no ac & busted thermostat - I am ready to move on.

I just want to thank everyone on the site for the loads of help and overall great way to spend some time.

BTW I am returning my X5 to stock (or close to it) so I am looking for some parts, which I will also post in the "want to buy" section....

Halogen Headlights (2000-2003)

Standard Rear Fender trim - to replace my 4.6/4.8 flares

"Upper" Hood grills - the ones with the washer nozzle (2000-2003)

Fog light surrounds - Little painted circle things that attach to the bumper

Once I replace everything I will post again with whats for sale

Thanks again!

Hey bud, I'm in Boston too, and I would be interested in buying your rear 4.6/4.8 spoiler and fender flares if the price is right. PM me with prices please.

I don't have facelift, so not too much else from your car would fit mine. What else do you have that may work for me? Is your stearing wheel for sale?? I saw it on another post and like it very much.

Thanks!

So mine is actually a 2001 3.0i - face-lifted. I'm looking to return it to pre-facelift 2000-2003 look again.

The have the rear flares but not the spoiler - If i get the std. trim I will sell these

I have a 4.4i exhaust installed - chrome quad tips

How's the sound/air flow on that? Because I have a 01 3.0i as well, but with stock exhaust. Hows the installation? Perhaps we can work something out considering you want to put it back to stock again. How many miles on the exhaust?

I would gladly trade parts, but I have painted ground effects.. what do you think? It would be a trade huh? Would you like to talk about trying?

There is a very subtle difference in tone - the mufflers are completely different shapes - but nothing extreme. Its more for the looks to be honest.

I actually still have my 3.0 exhaust so I dont need one, but I think there's about 50k miles on the exhaust- 20k from me and if I remember correctly about 30k from another member who switched to a remus system.
