2001/02/03 X5 4.4i's (WHY UNTIL IT LASTS?)

Okay, This has been bugging the crap out of me, I own an 01 X5 4.4i, I unlike alot of you don't have that much money but I purchased my X5 at 112K. The car to me still runs great and I do not feel that it is at the "end" of its lifespan. The car still runs like a beast and I am sure i can still put alot of mileage on it so why the heck are there people on the boards saying "Ill ride it out til it dies" or "01 X5 wont last to long im sure".... I dont go by how much milage the car has, I go by how much a person took care of the car. If one runs it well and takes good care of it, im sure it can even last til 300k.....
