About to go in for 30,000 mile service...???

What else should I have done? and have looked at? is there certain things I should have replaced before my warranty ends?

I'm also getting my timing belt checked, it squeakes in the morning cold. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is this Insp1 you are doing?

Timing belt? How do you know? I had water pump replaced and new squeak/whine is fan belt or fan pulley, neither of which Stlr would admit made any noise.

If you haven't changed brake fluid, I'd request it, as the Manny says 2 yrs or x miles, and it's covered under Maint.

I'd have them do a complete and thorough press test on cooling sys., too. Tell him you are using coolant...they may find a pinhole leak. Have brake pad thickness checked carefully too. Nothing like a "free" set of pads and rotors. This all assumes you are still on Maint in addition to Warr., but with only 30K...

Are you running out of time rather than miles?

EVERY X5 owner has had this problem!

Seriously, though, I am told by my SA that the squeaking noise is something with which the deal often. They've replaced one of my belt tensioners twice, and I still squeak in the cold mornings. I've just learned to drown it out with the radio. It only lasts for a minute or so anyway...

Your warranty runs out at 30,000 miles?

Ben,

Well, you have 10 1/2 months and another 20K to see what develops with your car and watch this board for the usual litany of glitches & probs.

If it possible try to upgrade NAV software to V24 version, transmission software, let them replaced brakes and rotors, flash brake system, coolant, motor oil, microfilter, oil filter air filter, windshield and rear window wiper blades, remember about 8 CV joints let them check this too, tranny fluid also would be nice to change, look under the car and check with flashlight for any leaks etc, if you can buy extended warranty from BMW dealer, so U will be covered for another few years up to 100.000 miles.

Yes, all covered under Maint & Warr. You will probably have to ask for the coolant flush, and they will not do brake pads/rotor until they are worn out of spec. As for a brake fluid flush, that may take some arm wrestle. Most will Not change trans or diff fluid.

I am Not a fan of the pricey BMW Ext Warr., as some seem to be.

Oh, and read that lil'black book in your glove box...there is an entire slim book devoted to Warr/Maint.,etc. It 'splains things pretty well.

Agree with MotorDavid, to add my 2 cents try to replace fuel filter as well, as differential oil, and do the tire rotation and ballance of course, let them check ignition coils-important. Timing belt should last you longer then 30.000 miles same as spark plugs and high voltage wires. But check under the car if U live in the State with 4 seasons, snow/salt, rain etc., may cause metall corrosion. Air conditioning.
