New Here

I just wanted to introduce myself...my name is Jeff . I purchased my very first BMW a few weeks ago and it's a black on black '03 X5.

This site is a huge resource for me already. I researched and researched on here prior to my purchase, and by doing so I knocked the purchase price down a couple thousand because of the stuff I found. And with the help of this site I've already done the DIY CV boot repair--both sides and DIY MID pixel repair. Since I'm no stranger to mods I installed a Dice Ipod module, rear rubber cargo liner, and pet barrier. Future mods will be tinted windows and bigger rims/tires.

I spent the entire day on Monday detailing the X5...wash, clay bar, polish/seal, condition the leather, shampoo carpet, and clean all hard surfaces.

I'm from the Seattle/Tacoma area. I took the X5 to Portland for its first road trip two weekends ago to see the NASCAR Race at PIR. I'll be headed to Woodburn in a few weeks, but I won't be in the X5--I'm taking the truck down to race.

As much as I like the gen 2, I prefer the 1st gen... can't beat that 5.8 windsor! (especially the roller cam one in the lightning)
