What does the US or Canada compliance label look like?
unless, that is, it has a US or Canada safety compliance label affixed. it's a bit hard to look for at the moment since i'm in canada and the car's in switzerland but if i had a photo or something, maybe i would recognize it or ask a friend to go have a look for me. could anyone post a pic of this label for me? it would be really appreciated. thanks. |

Not sure about canada, but I just registered a 2003 X5 in CA from out of state. They checked for the EPA sticker to make sure it specifically stated compliance for CA. This may be related to emissions only - not sure if it also covers safety compliance. Anyway - the sticker was on the inner fender pass side under the hood near the cowl area. Not sure if it mentioned Canada - I don't recall that it did - seemed it only mentioned US regulations. Anyway - that is one place to look. Otherwise could be on the drivers side doorjam.
