tinted windows

hi everyone...finally got windows tinted on the x today...20% all around...it is a good shade for the x..any lighter would have been to light...car has big windows...only thing is i am not totally happy with the job i dont think it came out that good...the tinters 17 years of experience does not impress me...one window has some bubbles and i am hoping they dry out and the hatch window and the rear 1/4 and side windows have a border of little dots and the tint appears to not have adhered well...will wait a few days see what happens..in the mean time could someone poosibly take a close up photo of the rear hatch with tint nad post it for me so i can compare and see if it is a bad tint job or not..thanks for your help rob...

yeah, give it a week in hard sun/heat soak. if they don't disappear, get it replaced. My first tint job on my first car had bubbles all over when first installed. Installer said they would disappear when lots of sun hit it. Took 3 months - never went back to the guy again.

Current tint guy - don't see a speck of air/water in the tint. It's perfect. Had about 5 different cars done (including windshield). Not one blemish.

Don't settle. If the guy doesn't fix it, there are plenty of people out there who will do it right.

I went to the best guy around, charged 125 or two fronts. Job was immaculate. Perfectly smooth and the edging is 1 mm all around. On tints, you get what you pay for it seems, unless you get lucky.

thnaks everyone...i am very unhappy with the tint job...i have a lot of specks due to dirt and not air/water bubbles as was told to me by the shop owner...brought car back and the tinter redid the left rear and rt front....rt front still looks like s**t.....will bring back on monday...overall every window has a some amount of specks but i feel that it should be speck free..i had other cars with tinted windows never had this problem...it is getting to be a pain to keep going back i just want to move on but this guy took my money and i want what i paid for now its the principle..will never use this guy again...but this will be the last time...thnaks rob

My tint installer told me not to lower the windows for over a week to keep the tint from peeling or bubbling - almost 4 yrs now and all windows (except the windshield, which was not tinted) are perfect

I went to Tintmax last week and was very impressed with their work. It was 250 for the entire truck. Couldnt be happier! 3M-FXHP film used as well.
