All sorted. I gave the bulb holders and all the contact points a good clean and all work as they should, the back left had a bit of a bad connection as well but i managed to fix that.

My top and bottom tail lights on each light are both the same now, different to the ones in your photos e30mpower, your top tail looks very bright.

UGHH... I know! Somebody help me! How is it that the facelift taillights are so different that it's causing the tops to burn brighter than they should? I know I said I would wait until Check Control started throwing warnings at me before I replaced them, but the more I think about it the more it grates on my nerves. Still, it doesn't aggravate me quite as much as that nasty yellow. Anybody want to sell their pre-facelift Sports?

i got a pair of the 01-03 sports tail lights off ebay U.S for $99, perfect condition too.
