Ah, Laddie, it is a common fooking disease...and, hard to overcome!

Glad you got a laugh...I actually hooked up with a go-go/nude dancer chick for a few months, off & on, between the 1stWife and theCEO. It was a helluva ride, but they are freaking gonna break your heart...that, and their ex-boyfriend/meth-monster/badazz biker dude guy always turn up like a bad penny. It was time to hang up my sporting jones at that time,

My X5 is my first CPO car. I hope I don't have similiar problems once the original factory warranty expires.

I dunno...I am just so conflicted right now....

I am used to cars that need nothing....I get in the X and it is a thrill everytime, but....man...that was a kick in the balls today...I was seriously thinking of ripping out that nav, dvd, and the tvs and trading it for the QX 45 today. At least the Japanese stuff does not flip you the bird when your back is turned.....

I found a non dealer German guy a few blocks from my office....he is $72 per hours vs. $103....so there is a savings right there...he is going to take over her long term car. I love the feeling of walking into a BMW dealership and feeling like I belong, I have the money to give them but it just seems so wasteful...like I should be buying shares of a company that I believe will be good in the long term vs a vehicle I will be tired of in 36 months.

The X5 get one more chance...after that...I cannot be held responsible for my actions.....btw...I would love to trade for a 4.6...there are none to be had up here and in the NE they command top $$$$$. The next phase of my life is investment property...I can only justify so much on my bad toy habits....I don't smoke and barely drink...it is the only way I can rationalize it.

extended warranty is the way to go...........

kneedragger - depending on your mileage/age, check out BMW extended maintainence plans (good if you can 'arrange' for a full brake job). Some of the 3rd party extended warranty plans are also fair game.....search on X5World for lots of good anecdotes and info.

Maybe I over reacted....

When I picked up the Money pit today from Inskip BMW....there was a noticeable handling differnce and mid line performance was improve...the service writter explained that when the cam sensor is shot and working when it wants to the computer compensates and retards the timing and you lose performance....

Glad you got her back, man. Curious, how many miles on your X?

Holy cow! So sorry to hear about your problems. That's certainly not fun to dish out -- even if you do have the money. Like you said, it seems so wasteful.

Good luck, and hang in there, man! The car's worth it.
