v10rick is on a distinguished road
2 payments remaing on lease. What

would you guys do?

My 2006 X5 4.4 drives and looks like new and I would like to own it.

A nearby dealer quoted $31K and change but the two remaining lease payments are included in that price.(not CPO and market rate financing)
The price is based on current auction results and is good for 5 days.

Even though his offer is $3.5K under the residual does this sound high?

Another dealer wants a end of lease inspection and will not quote a price over the phone.

To get a feel for the market I checked Autotrader....just a few 4.4s with 28Kmi., in the entire US.

Most of those have options like NAV, Premium Sound, Sport and are priced in the 34K to $36K range.

I have the cold weather, heated steering wheel and the premium package options. The original window sticker was $57K.

Is it best to wait until Oct when 2010s will be in their showrooms?
