Throttle surge when stopping at idle

'01 4.4 with 75K, Does anyone know why the vehicle surges when you stop at a stop light at idle. It is if someone stepped on the gas just before I come to a stop. The vehicle doesn't show any other problems that I'm aware of and I've eliminated all other issues with no current error codes showing.

I've heard of this issue from another person, but I don't know what the resolution is. Subscribing.

I forgot to mention that it doesn't surge if you slip into neutral while coming to the stop. It must be in gear.

I had the same problem on my 2001 4.4 X5 with 72K miles. My car was throwing a few error codes on the Peak scan tool but my local indy couldn't get them to come up on his G1 computer. The codes said had a lean idle on 1-4 and 5-8. My mechanic recommended cleaning the injectors and throttle body with BG44K. It cost me $179 for them to do it and the truck runs amazing - best of all not error codes anymore. Hope this helps

You can order it online through ebay and other places. It is what the dealer uses to flush the system. Rather than use just the tank treatment I had them open the fuel lines.
