Anyone here use a Scanguage II? I purchased one for my motorhome and Acura and found it to be a great unit for measuring engine temps, tranny temps, mpg, head temps, and about 200 other things. It also reads and resets codes. I haven't looked into what it'll do for the X5. Here's a link to the unit I'm talking about: ScanGaugeII - How to Buy

I like the Peake unit, but I may need to use this on another vehicle, i.e. Nissan. Peake is made only for BMW, does anyone suggest one that will work on both?

This is a good question. My first DIY oil-change is coming up and would like to look into getting one of these reset tools. From what I have seen/searched, it seems like a lot of people like their Peake tool... but others have great things to say about the actron 9135 as well.

I have used the Actron CP9125 to clear codes on the X5 and Dodge Viper.

Purchased at Advance Auto for about $70 bucks.
