Hi Everybody!

Hi All, I'm new to the Outpost and wanted to introduce myself. As I type this, I am anxiously awaiting delivery of my "new" X5. It's scheduled to ship today or tomorrow from New York state to New Mexico. So, here's the vehicle: 2006 X5, 3.0 (the only way to get a manual), Sterling Gray, black leather, 15,000 miles, CPO, manual transmission(!), sport package, premium, nav, premium hi-fi, 6-CD changer, cold package, rear climate package, xenons and multi-contour (comfort?) seats.

It'll come just in time for snow in the Rockies. For months, I had been racking my brain trying to come up with a great highway cruiser with AWD, a manual, nav, bluetooth and rewarding to drive. I considered a 2006 Audi S4 but wanted more space, ground clearence and utility. I also considered the new Subaru Outback (probably not too rewarding to drive) but when I realized I could possibly find an X5 with a manual, I got jazzed. Did a search on BMW's CPO site and found the vehicle.

This will replace our fantastic but aging 2002 530i. And, with a newer vehicle based on the same platform, we shouldn't miss the sedan 'that much'.

Well, we also have an '04 M3 convertible so, being a non-bmw family was out of the question... Thanks!

On BMW's CPO search, only 7 manuals showed up in the USA. Today there are only 5.

Congrats on your new ride! Envious over your 6 spd,
(improved over our 5 spd), and the low miles on your '06.
Enjoy it!

Nice, and really post pics when it comes,
itstony because you live in USA and you know that the best is automatic gearbox
In Europe is a lot of cars, and X5s with manual, but X5s usually have 3.0L diesel engines. Automatic gearbox rules !!
