My new running boards

I just returned from the dealership after an oil change and having running boards installed.

I bought the SAV in July with 20,500 miles. I have managed to add a couple more thousand since then. I just love driving this vehicle.

Absolutely do not mind.

I shopped around to get a sense of the price range I should expect. All from BMW dealerships. I paid $1422.10, which was at the upper end of the range, but not the most expensive. For those in Southern California, I got quotes from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, New Century, and Center (I never heard back from Pacific). Since, I bought the car at Center, I went with them.

The price of the parts were all identical $792. The labor ranged from $550-$725. I am sure I could have done better. But, convenience was also a consideration.

As an aside, they were out of BMW loaners so they sent me to Enterprise. I had a choice of a number of cars and thought I try a new Prius. An interesting vehicle. Not my cup of tea. And, I forgot about the odd (or distinctive) odor of Toyota interiors. I suppose owners get used to it.

Nice one, finishes off your/our X5's just fine. Sort of gives them definition with contrasting colour (silver) down the sides. Not to mention the fact that they're functional.

Any idea what they cost here in Australia? Genuine ones of course.
