pics from the Welt

on a recent trip to Munich, i noticed most vehicles have bike racks like this. so i asked if it will fit the e53 and they said no. now i have the e70 on want list because of the bike rack.

If you have a tow hitch, factory or otherwise, Thule make a range of these bike racks that clamp onto the tow ball. I use one all the time. Takes up to three bikes and has integrated tail lights. Looks just like the one in your picture, but clamps onto the tow hitch. Takes only a minute or two to put on, just tighten one bolt and its securely attached. Thule also make roof racks for the bike as well.

thanks for the reply,,,checking thule web site

thats my problem, don't have a tow hitch. i have a bike rack that goes in tow hitch from my suburban (sold 2 yrs ago) and was hoping to get a factory tow hitch which is no longer produced. i can't use roof mount either, my nyc place has ug garage.

BMW OE tow hitches are back in production after an interuption in supply. They have a new supplier, and the hitch is the same as the one they used to sell. See your dealer.
