We have a member who had an extra one he was willing to part with. I had pm'd him a few months ago and still had it. Found him through a search for this part, but dealer ended up replacing it under warranty on the second go around. Let me see if I can dig up the thread.

http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/...es-bmw-x5.html I have had these in my X from about a week after I found this link. Don't know if they are still available but worth a try. You just stick the Velcro pad to the glass in the rear screen and rear quarters and hey presto. I never take them out as they provide extra security screening for the cargo area and also further reduce the glare from following headlights over what the auto-dimming mirror can do alone (and that's pretty good).
