Looks like false eyelashes or mascara which unfortunately, makes the car look "chicky". Sorry.

Hahaha... thanks for all the comments, both the positive and negative Bimmer_Ese's "E73" comment probably described it best

I too am not sure whether I like it or hate it. It does look kind of "Chicky" when looking directly from the front and up close, but it looks really HOT and mean in most other angles.

Right now I'm really enjoying this 2-tone theme and the E53/E70 cross over look. So I'll leave it on for a while and see if I feel the same later.

Two before and after photos with similar angle. The trick was to put them on the bonnet, instead of on the headlights.

I'm wondering if they would look better painted in the same color of your car? It does have an E70esque look to it.

I don't know why people would want to paint it as the same colour of the car? wouldn't it just look like nothing has been done?? the eye lid that simoncpw is not your typical eyelid where it cuts off part of the headlights, it's merely an addon to the body of the vehicle making it look like eyelids and gives the illusion that the headlights were bigger to begin with. Painted in the same colour will not make it any different

i was thinking the same thing....

"painting it the same color" = "removing it"

I think they look cute

If you look to the front view, you feel that the car's lines are like concentric radii along a virtual circle... the added lids or whatever, are 2 additional radii with 2 more angles, which incorporates smoothly to the overall lines... plus, again, they look like E70... so for me, i think it's a nice mod...
