Interesting look.. I like it in some angles and am ok with it in others. They really bring attention to the angel eyes though. Can't decide if I like it or hate though..

Painted in the same colour will not make it any different
We'll I was thinking more in line with what AUU 555 has on his X5 (shown on another post) as you can see, they are painted to match the color of his car - nothing wrong with subtle mods:

I understand that, But as you can see with this it's actually covering parts of the headlights. So it does make sense to paint it the same color as the ride. i do like that look below. If simon were to add the eyelids over the headlights and not just to the body it would make sense to have it color matched.

Hi Simon,
Sorry old mate but I'm not feeling your $2 mod. Lose em and bring back the beast as per your showcase a few months ago.

: I also think they take away from your otherwise finely modded project.

After a couple days... I have to say that this look is really growing on me! Although the new P53 headlights gave a completely fresh look to this classic SAV, I've always been annoyed by the flat line on top of the headlights (vs the 2 half-circle at the bottom).

This is definitely one of those things that either you like it or hate it completely! But trust me, it does look pretty damn good in person together with the rest of mods

X5Dawg - yep, just vinyls. I just high quality with semi-glossy that matches with the rest of the black trims.

Chigga - You got it!!! I put it on the bonnet to make the headlights look bigger, "awake" and "focused", while all other similar mod put them on the headlights itself, which makes the car look half asleep!

dsm1925 - nope, didn't paint the flare, they are just kept clean on daily basis ;-)

richirich - Thanks man. I think it might look good one yours as well, give it a go ;-)

chile1 - I know what you mean. But I think putting them on the headlights with bodycolor will have the opposite effect: makes the headlights look smaller and lazy.

X Foomph & PersonaNonGrata - really appreciate your honest feedback. May be I'll get tired of this after a while ;-)
