LOL nothing against you richirich you're a great asset here and respected by many including myself. But yes there is alot of posers out there that do that. They debadge and add M logos all around!!! I do love the clean debadged look myself. When it's done right it looks good! Definitely to each their own and everyone on here has their own flavour!

Growing up.....we were all Vdub Junkies and we always debadged.....it was for a clean and lean mean look.....I have a highly modified X5.....and everyone knows it's a 3.0i.....as many many of you have seen at the X5 meets. I suppose it depends on where you are in the world....again debadging for us was always for looks not for posing.......

I do agree with chigga in one respect....but it's not the debadging that gets me its ADDING of certain things like the M license plate and doing cosmetic mods that are sure tail signs of trying to be the vehichle that you are not.....

The OLD AMG Badge on a Benz..that is not an AMG...or throwing an M Badge where it does not belong! HAHA!

Again...IMO........and most importantly to each there own....I'll see every one this coming weekend at the Fall Tri State X5 meet...in my debadged 3.0i

LOL!

Rich

OHH! Chigga man! none taken Brother.....you brought up an oldie but goodie subject.... and i started to reminise on the old Vdub days and doing mods waaaaaay before the fast and furious! LOL! i'm talking like 92, 93, 94, 95!! baaack in the day... i was in my late teens early twents... and to drop a car or do custom paint was like crazy back then.... debadging was right in that mix.....except back then we had to fill the holes from the badges at the body shop and have some paint done.. I appreciate your comments.....and thought that I would add that piece in about....as you said.....lol...throwing logos all around... actually my friend/neighbor has an imola red 4.6is....mint to say the least....not so much into modding like us...but he threw the M license plate frame on the back...... I yelled at him.....!

Rich

I've always debadged all my BMW's, except my E34 M5 because some poeple didn't even know they were made in that body style...myself included till I bought it. It makes waxing easier and less snags on the washmitt.

I was planning on removing the side badges but leaving the X badge on the boot, seems a bit trying too hard with the side badges.

Fishing line or some kind of string. My pulled off quite easily in the Boise heat, then just a little wax to remove the glue residue and the shadow outline from the years of not being waxed around. You can't even tell they were there on my white X5 or my black 740iL...and black shows everything.
