most people debadge cause they have a smaller engine'd vehicle... i see alot of 320i's and 323i's debadged especially in the coupes... they wanna feel like they are m3's the. Also alot of 3.0i's debadge. Honestly i would leave it unless you are switching to the shadow emblem!! anyone know where i can find them for X5's?

Here is my old experience. I was selling an unbadged car but most potential buyers were suspious. There's no faded area as I did it very carefully. So they asked me if the panel was replaced and repainted. I guess I lost some buyers ... Since then I never touch the oem config. Why bother.

Leave the X5 badge on. Maybe, just maybe debadge the engine emblem on the front guards. But definately leave the X5 emblem where the factory put it (IMO of course).

If you want a change do what Simon did and repaint them or see if you can get hold of the shadow emblems.

What a cool looking badge to have on your car. Plus it's nice n big and can be read easily from a distance.

As I have said on many different discussions - I think the X5 on the back looks crap. Debadged all three of mine. I think it is too big and looks like it was stuck on by a two-year old as an afterthought.

HMMM! Interesting take on the debading topic....

Growing up.....we were all Vdub Junkies and we always debadged.....it was for a clean and lean mean look.....I have a highly modified X5.....and everyone knows it's a 3.0i.....as many many of you have seen at the X5 meets. I suppose it depends on where you are in the world....again debadging for us was always for looks not for posing.......

I do agree with chigga in one respect....but it's not the debadging that gets me its ADDING of certain things like the M license plate and doing cosmetic mods that are sure tail signs of trying to be the vehichle that you are not.....

The OLD AMG Badge on a Benz..that is not an AMG...or throwing an M Badge where it does not belong! HAHA!

Again...IMO........and most importantly to each there own....I'll see every one this coming weekend at the Fall Tri State X5 meet...in my debadged 3.0i

LOL!
