Electric Fan

Does anyone know where the electric fan is located in BMM X5? A mechanic told me it's not the fan at the front of the car.

I was told that my electric fan is faulty with the following errors 41 F1, 4B 22.

Has anyone experienced this before? if yes, how much does it cost to repair/replace?

on pre-2004 v8 the fan is located in front of the condenser, on 2004-06 v8 the fan is located behind the condenser. pre-2004 you'll need to remove the bumper cover, and slide the fan assembly out the bottom, from 2004 its removed from the top.
