I think you should look up the state you're in because each state has different laws pertaining to tints. Additionally, also if you're worried about tickets. For example, in NYC, the limit for front window tints is 70%.... ie: no tint at all. However, many people disregard this law, but they can get a ticket.

When it comes to the front windshield it might be a diff. story then the front driver or passenger window...If you have to appear before a judge at any given time, u will have no choice but to obey

I wasn't even talking about the front windshield. IMO, tinting your windshield is just moronic... why take away your own visibility?...
