Problem with Folding Mirrors

Hi all,

Today, I tried operating the folding mirrors on my 4.8is. When I pres the switch, the mirrors fold but then they almost immediately go back to their normal position. What could be wrong?

Thanks,
Philip

very common -
If it's still under warranty, take it in.
(Sorry I'm not more helpful but that's what I ended up doing.)
If you're up to disassembling and fixing, I think you can search the threads for an issue with a micro switch.

If its under warranty take it in or do a search and you will find lots of info on fixing this issue.

Thanks guys.. I think there's a couple months more on the warranty but unfortunately, the car is with me now in Manila. The fix doesn't sound too daunting. I'll find someone over here who can do this. Thanks againn for the info. Didn't know this was a common problem.

Philip
