Get red with smoke

I may get the stock look LED; are they worth it? I have no real issues with my current stock tails, so is it worth the money to buy new tail lights even though I dont yet need them??

Similar issue... similar fix.

I did a solder job and used some emery paper to clean up the contact point on the tail light assembly to fix the contact point which looked like it had arched over time and created a void in the metal. Did the fix about 6 months ago and problem has not come back.

I think BMW is using the wrong material for the contact ring on the tail light assembly.

I was somewhat hoping my fix wouldn't work so I could justify buying the LED tails.
