I'm with RB on the Conti DWS, if you only face occasional light snow. Very nice dry highway ride/performance; quiet; fine wet performance and light snow; good longevity. My seller mounted DWS's on my E53 before I bought it - which I took as another sign that they knew what they were doing. I had a set of DWS on a benz SLK that performed great in slushy wet snow on a trip up north a couple years back ......

Just installed new front lower forward/tensoin arm poly bushings and new oem balljoints in knuckle
- truck brakes, handles, feels way more responsive
Also tranny oil sleeve and filter and new oil because stealership sid this job and broke the lock that holds the oil sleeve and the mechanic that worked on it musta been the biggest idiot in the world and the pan gasket was leeking a bit
- shifts smoother now and no leek

Why don't you buy a square set so that tires are cheaper? 275 40 all around sounds more economical. Maybe put wheel spacers in the rear for the look.

Rims are cheaper that are smaller and the tires too. Mounting also decreases at 40 series and up not to mention the worry that someone at the tire store messing up your tires/wheels. Again, i am talking adout saving the staggeres set for summer and run smaller width in the snow.
