Peake code reader blew MAF sensor?

Hooked this up to my 2001 4.4 showing an idle mixture code. A vacuum hose was loose so I cleared the code with it running and it shut down. When I started up....no idle at all. Pulled off the MAF and it will run poorly but runs. What did I do here? Car ran great except for the engine light literally 5 minutes before. Looks like it blew the MAF? It happened roght in front of myself and two other guys right when we cleared the code. Help!!!

Just replaced the MAF and it runs well again. I wouldn't try to clear codes with the car running!!!
