Will an e46 M3 steerin wheel fit 06 X5?

Q: e46 M3 2001-06 wheel => 2006 X5 4.8is sport wheel. I know this would include an airbag, The shape is obviousy different. I would also assume the heated steerng wheel function would be lost in goingto the e46 M3 wheel. But other than that, can they be swapped?

Also, has anyone installed the paddle shifters too?

yes they do..I have one. Its a direct swapp but you will lose the heated wheel functions unless you swap to the e53 sport wheel w/ heat. I have a round sport airbag for sale next week as well.

Tell me something: What other difference is there between the stock steering wheel and the sport steering wheel besides the M Sport sticker at the bottom of the wheel?

And, I do have the heated wheel.

M wheel from 01-06 e46 is completely different in shape then the sport wheel on the 04+ e53. They use completly different airbags as well (still 2 satge but different shape). But the sport e53 wheel can come heated.
