INSIDE AND OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE BROKEN

FOR AWHILE NOW MY DOOR LATCH ON THE DRIVER SIDE INSIDE BEEN BROKEN I HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW AND OPEN MY DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE HANDLE,NOW THE OUTSIDE HANDLE BROKE TODAY CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF I NEED BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE CARRIER?ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i removed the door panel ,i found that the cable was broken from the handle from the inside, But what about the outsidehandle ? are these both connected to open the door ?

Having recently replaced the door carrier, the cable that connects the inner latch and the lock mechanism is a separte piece, #5 in the diagram.
