The stealership is always the last place to go...period. Glad you got it figured out and saved a buck along the way.

did they take them off properly or remove them with taking the round mounting bracket. this is the problem i had when one was stolen. they took this item with the glass.

i ended up buyin some mirrors off ebay, tinted blue and curved which i didnt know when i bought them. they took some getting used to but now i have no blind spot cause of the curve. (they were under 80$ a piece.)

and i also bought a used mirror assembly to get this round bracket. the mirror rebuild kist which includes this round bracket it about 180$, the whole mirror was 150 on ebay and i plan to sell for a portion of that.

they took that too. but the junkyard had everything, including the mounting bracket. and i didn't pay that much, even for OEM parts. i would have never thought they would have bmw parts. but my service advisor assured me that it was available.

honestly, i think the junk yard steals this stuff. i feel so guilty about supporting them. but what can i do about it?

Cheap rent and decent prices. If they were in the nice neighborhoods, you'd be paying stealership prices.
