both sideview mirrors stolen!

I woke up this morning only to find that my sideview mirrors have been robbed. the car was parked RIGHT in front of my house. and i live in a relatively good/middle class 1 family neighborhood. any idea on how much the fix will cost? i only need the 2 mirrors, not the casing.

go bmw and buy oem ones.. because the one they sell in autozone are not heated

well, i just called. and they don't carry them. so i'll have to wait for the parts department to open at 8.

i can make a claim from my insurance, even if i don't have full coverage?

if you carry liability only, I don't think you'll be able to claim on your insurance ..

do you have the auto dimming mirrors? If you don't, the glass is a lot cheaper ...

Liability covers liability. Comprehensive covers vandalism.
Call your ins. agent anyway, you never know what add-ons they sold you when you bought your policy.

thanks for the help guys. but i went to several bmw dealers today...
-life quality in brooklyn tried to rip me off for 1500 and some change. my service advisor(a real a*shole) said that the "motor" was missing, even though i told him it worked perfectly fine. so i said screw you and left.

bmw of bayside in queens said i would have to wait at least a week, but i can't turn my head for a whole week of driving. so i left from them too...

then i went to rallye in long island, and my service advisor (cool guy) told me i could check the junk yard and may be able to find used mirrors. he tells me all i need is the glass which would cost 350 each side+labor if i bought it from him. so i did what he told me, and drove another 25min. to check, and voila they had both. so i only paid a total of 170 dollars for both. the driver's side mirror was 90, and passenger side was 80.

i can say the outcome was pretty good today, even though i drove a total of about 3 hours turning my head all the time.
