You may be surprised when you open it. Mine wouldn't retract either and when I opened it up, there was a dime in there that was jamming the mechanism! LOL

Same here, taking the x back to the dealer and have them adjust them, they retract really slow or dont go back up at all. My wife ends up slamming the buckle with the door.

Had the same problem. Took a bottle of silicone spray and sprayed it empty from the upper slots, where the seatbelt retracts. At the same time pulling the seatbelt out and letting it recract. Now both are working just fine. I got the tip from used cars salesman.

This works great! One of my rear belts stopped retracting. I took a bottle of silicone spray, pulled the belt all the way out and started spraying blindly all over down the slot and the roller up top. It started retracting. I repeated doing this several times. Now it works just fine. The other belts were a little sluggish and I fixed them all this way. Do not use WD40. It will be messy and smelly. Silicone spray evaporates off and leaves just the silicone and it doesn't smell.

I had the same issue. Dealer charges me $160 for labor, and it quit working a few month later. I need to take it apart and fix it myself, so I know it is done correctly. Damn Stealer.
