Who can help with offset calculations?

I just installed a set of 4 20x9.5 replicas 87's with Pirelli Scorpion Ice&Snow 275/40/20 for my new winter setup. Dry handling has been great, although havent had any snow yet in NJ to test out the snow capabilities. Obviously the looks department is a huge step up from my previous 18 inch winter setup.

With a 9.5 wheel in back with a 45 offset, same as stock fronts, does anyone know how much of a difference this makes in moving the wheel inward? Meaning narrower wheel, but bigger offset I believe than stock 20x10.5 rear wheel.......so how many mm's has the whole wheel/tire combo moved inward? Trying to figure out if I should get some spacers back there or if its basically the same stance as before.

Thanks!

Stock 177s, for E53, show front offset of 45 , and rear offset of 30...I assume your
replicas have the same as oe.

Here is a link to one of many wheel offset calcs found on web:
Wheel Offset Calculator

That calculator looks like 28 mm worth of diff...

Other than looks/cosmetics, I don't see the need to add spacers,
esp. for rolling around in the winter, but you may feel the look is important.
Hope this helps.

thanks mD, yep it looks like the outside edge of the wheel moves in 28mm with this setup. the more research I do, the less i like the idea of using a spacer. since the inner clearance only shrunk by less than 2mm (and i checked the clearance to the strut with my hand, plenty of room still), it seems a spacer is purely cosmetic and not truely needed. my 2005 is nearing 90K miles, I say the extra wear on the wheel bearings is not worth getting those 28mm back.

thanks again
