The 3.0i are more than out there because consumers love more 3.0i and its price is more affordable and less maintenance cost.

Moh, leave me alone bud. I have seen you are sitting here to post, reply over months in order to increase your post number and trying to sell your parts. However, what i have seen during the CT meet in June, i can tell you are a guy who doesn't know about X5 mods and upgrade. The simple replacement HID ballast fixing some error that you never know how to fix. you need help from Tom and he helped you while i was there.

If i were you, i don't want to spend a lot of money and time to do the mod or showing off people if i don't know how to do things such HID ballast replacement. Upon returning to me, i do mods and when i know how to do it myself (just my opinion)

Please don't use those shit or stupidity, they don't apply to me.
shit and stupidity do apply to you.

1. your posts make no sense
2. you are angry i listed my old exhaust tips for sale, and mention it in every post, including this one, and claim if you had some you would give them for free (good for you). but recently in another post you asked a member to PM you an offer for your old tips (hypocrite?).
3. tom did help me at the meet. i appreciate that. the issue wasn't resolved, its nobody's fault. what does that have to do with anything?
4. 'i am a guy who doesnt know about x5 mods and upgrades' ? are you serious? lets have other peoples input and see which X5 wins

I have both an 02 I6 X5 and an 05 V8. The V8 is now my daily driver. It is way more fun to drive. I love how it effortlessly gets to speed. It is smooth and you only have to wind it out if you want to put a smile on your face and hear that great sound. The I6 might be more reliable and it is inherently less to maintain because there are fewer parts. I have found that the mpg difference is actually not that different. My I6 gets around 18-19 in mixed city highway. My V8 consistently averages 18 in mixed driving. On the road the V8 gets a little better mpg. The engine is running at lower rpm and it has 6 gears vs. my I6 5 speed transmission. They are both great engines. The I6 is not under powered nor over powered. I would say it is a little below adequate. The V8 is perfect if you can afford it and love that great v8 sound.

AZX, as i said everyone has his/her own choice for 3.0 or 4.4. I have no problem with 4.4/4.8 or 3.0 at all. My point was gas issue between 3.0 (I6) and 4.4/4.8 v8. I cant believe someone like killcrap said 3.0 gas mileage worst than the 4.4i v8 engine. It's understandable, someone here just arguing and it does not make sense.

Moh, i drive BMW 5 series back in 2000 and long before you acquired your X5. Unlike today, there were not many BMW drivers 10 years ago. Thus, X5 or BMW technology is not new to me. and it's just another fun car to drive. You said that i don't know anything about BMW/X5, take that with you

About CD changer haha I PM you and Tom, stating that i don't want it for free and you shipped it to Tom in returning for his work regarding your HID headlight. I didn't want to take anything from you since i gave you my home address and you keeping complaining your headlight and never ship it you me. So i told you that ship it to Tom since i don't need it. Tom did a goodwill to me, i never requested to have it. It's ok since it's free, but the way you promised and did different what you told me. i don't need it.

my 2 cents

I had an 05 3.0 which I recently traded for 06 4.4. IMO if you mostly drive in town at relatively low speeds I recommend the 3.0. It's fun to drive, picks up quick, revs quick spritely enough. My 4.4 has all the bells too which are nice. It rides smoother with air suspension but idles rougher....the I6 was so smooth. 4.4 feels richer and more luxurious and on the highway ...what a kickdown! MPG, for me the 3.0 did get 2-3 mpg better.

For sure, I totally understand what your saying. He was probably pulling the mpg statistics from a website like edmunds or something else. They actually do rate the 4.4 as getting better mpg than the 3.0. That is highly unlikely in the real world. Like I was saying i get around the same mpg in my 4.4 as i do in the 3.0. The 3.0 does get 1-2 mpg better in the city. They are both awesome engines and you cant go wrong with either one. However, at the end of the day the 3.0 is probably getting somewhat better mpg.
